Shipping & Delivery Policy

At AvianExpress, we take great care to ensure that all birds and products are shipped safely and arrive in excellent condition. Please review our shipping terms below before placing your order.

🕊️ Live Bird Orders

  • All bird orders must total a minimum of $350 plus shipping costs.
  • We ship live birds within the continental U.S. only.
  • We recommend shipping via Air Cargo, which is the only method covered by our live arrival guarantee.
  • Birds are packed in airline-approved wooden boxes with food and water to ensure their comfort during transport.
  • If your order requires additional boxes, you will be notified of any extra shipping fees.
  • You must provide the major airport where your birds will be received. Once your order is ready, we will contact you to schedule a shipping date.

🚚 Air Cargo Shipping

  • Air Cargo offers the safest and fastest method for transporting live birds.
  • If a bird arrives deceased, you must notify us immediately upon arrival and provide clear photos of the bird while still at the cargo facility.
  • Once verified, we will replace the bird at no cost, excluding shipping fees.
  • AvianExpress is not responsible for issues not apparent at the time of shipping or delays caused by airlines.

📦 USPS Shipping

  • USPS shipping is available for smaller orders (up to 6 small birds or 2 large birds).
  • Includes a USPS-approved live bird box and overnight express service.
  • Live arrival is NOT guaranteed for USPS shipments.
  • Depending on your location, delivery may take up to 2 days.
  • Choose $135 USPS flat rate at checkout for standard orders, or $175 USPS flat rate if your order exceeds box capacity.

🌾 Bird Products, Feed & Accessories

  • All non-live products are shipped without insurance or signature required unless requested for an additional charge.
  • Once handed over to the shipping carrier, AvianExpress is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged packages.
  • Please email us if you would like to add insurance or signature confirmation to your order.

⚠️ Important Notice

For species that are difficult to sex, gender is not guaranteed. We always do our best to send one male and one female when possible.
